New Providence Wharf Leaseholders - We need you to complete these steps to reduce Ground Rent. Please don't take this one lightly, we need numbers if this is going to be taken seriously.

📢 Department of Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities Consultation on Ground Rents – Closes on 17 January 2024 📅

🌟 This is an important consultation. The advantages of a ground rent peppercorn cap for leaseholders are:

- 🏠 It removes ground rent and puts existing leasehold properties on a level playing field with new properties following the 2022 Ground Rents Act.

- 💷 Removes ground rent affordability issues.

- 🔄 Makes properties easier to sell.

- 💰 Makes enfranchisement cheaper.

You have a choice of 3 ways to respond:

🔔 Note from National Leasehold Campaign (NLC): "The single most important *answer is A PEPPERCORN. We have taken the approach that Peppercorn are the only option to align new and existing leaseholders, therefore we are not going to provide statistics for options 2,3,4,5".

- If you agree with NLC, respond by email: Follow instructions to respond above. Following the refusal by Nationwide Building Society (Blazecourt Ltd) to the NPWLRA's request to reduce the ground rent, LKP advises COMPLETING THE CONSULTATION.

❗❗❗ Mandatory questions in the consultation are marked with an asterisk (*).

*If emailing your response, please 🛑DELETE🛑 the covering page of the template, and edit/delete the sections in ♥️red ♥️.
